Minions love bananas and apples (or "bapples", as they call them), and the mere sight of one of these fruits can result in complete chaos. It is also possible to isolate elements of Japanese and Spanish from their speech patterns. ![]() Hence, their language is incomprehensible to most humans, though they do understand English. They express themselves mostly through actions, not words: their "language", Minionese, is fairly basic, they speak in strange jabber combined with various human languages. Despite being relatively simple-minded, they are capable of building weapons, operating those weapons, using computers, and even driving. Nefario and extremely eager to please, willingly helping with any evil plans, but at the same time they are friendly and fun-loving. On a mission to find their next master, the Minions discover Villain-Con in 1968 and, after a series of adventures in London, eventually find a young Gru. Most notably, the Minions also serve famous historical figures, such as Napoleon Bonaparte and Count Dracula, until they accidentally expose the latter to sunlight on his 357 th birthday. ![]() At the beginning of the film, they find their first despicable master, a Tyrannosaurus rex, followed by a caveman and an Egyptian pharaoh. Throughout Minions, they serve different leaders, accidentally killing all of their masters. That is why the Minions are always in search of a master.
